Forming Rolls
For closed and open profiles
At ATLAS Engineering India, we design and manufacture an entire range of forming rolls for the production of tubes, with diameters ranging from 0.12 to 14 inches. Our range goes beyond traditional materials like D3/D2/H13 to incorporate options for rolls to be manufactured in special steel grades and tungsten carbide, with high quality surface finish of the parent material.
Rolls made with special steel grades offer superior wear quality, longer life and are used in areas where absence of marking is critical. They are also used for welding rolls due to their non-magnetic properties. All our roll sets are designed to result in minimum set up time, high speed operation, and lower down time with minimum wear.
The rolls are manufactured with their working surface ground & polished. We offer super finish & mirror polished surface which ensure that the end product is without any marks.
We manufacture a variety of rolls for a cross-section of profiles, in addition to regular cylindrical, square and rectangular tubes. Each profile comes with its own nuances and specifications, and we take pride in our attention to detail to ensure impeccable delivery even for the most niche profiles. At ATLAS Engineering India, the designing of the rolls starts with a flower pattern, which is a sequence of profile cross-sections, one for each stand of rolls. Roll contours are then derived from profile contours, and we use the simulation process to validate the designed rolls & optimize the forming process and material stresses in the final product.

Slitting Cutters
Slitting cutters are manufactured from tool and special alloy steel, basis the application they are being made for. At ATLAS Engineering India, we have the facilities to produce a variety of sizes, up to 600 mm in diameter and slit up to 16 mm thick coils. We also manufacture precision cutting tools with thickness tolerance, made possible with our Lapping Machines. Our precision cutting tools have a thickness tolerance of 0.0015 mm and flatness of 0.0025 mm (depending on the OD and thickness). Based on the requirements of our customers, we can also manufacture tools with closer tolerances and special surface finishes are also possible.
ATLAS Engineering India’s knives undergo cryogenic treatment in-house to give them a fine microstructure that enhances their life.
Spacers
Spacers are manufactured using through hardened tool steel. We offer both- light weight and also ultra light weight spacers which are nearly 70% lighter than conventional steel spacers.Lighter spacers ease the job of the operator, causing less fatigue. In order to simplify assembly and the removal of tools, we also offer a Split design, wherein spacers can be lapped to the highest level of precision.
Bonded Stripper Rings
Our bonded stripper rings are made from alloy tool steel bonded with oil and abrasion resistant material such as Nitrile Rubber (Buna N) or Polyurethane. These are available in various shore hardness and colors to match custom requirements.
Separator Disks
Separator disks by ATLAS Engineering India are custom made exactly to user specifications. Available to a maximum hardness of 58/60 Rockwell, steel separator discs are made from the finest steel and guarantee long lasting and dependable performance at competitive prices. We also offer single/double level angles and various degrees of thickness. Our separator disks can also be chrome plated to reduce friction between the plate face and the slit edge, upon request.
Rotary Cutters
Rotary cutters are suitable for cutting all types of round metal, including copper, brass, steel, aluminium, and titanium. They cut through displacement, not by removing material, and therefore result in chipless cuts with minimum burrs. At ATLAS Engineering India, they are manufactured as per the wall thickness of the tube to be cut, and we offer them in various steel grades and levels.
Tube Cut Off/ Alfa Shears
Tube cut off knives are manufactured in both, tool steel and high speed steel. The high speed steel offers increased blade life, strength & flatness. We offer a wide range of coatings to increase production and reduce scrap, such as TIN, TiCN, CrN, TiAIN etc. Complementing the tube cut offs, the Jaws are manufactured with high precision & tight tolerances to decrease downtime.
Tube Cutting Saws
Tube cutting saws are manufactured with various tooth profiles, and at ATLAS Engineering India, we offer them with a variety of coatings and with manufacture them with special heat treatment for a better life cycle.
